A long-time friend of ours once lost the content of her sewing kit in the middle of the street, in the dark, and in the shit rain. It must have been an ungainly sight. I flew to her rescue, and was in good company, as I brought our then-King of Belgium as my soulmate.

“Waarken veu de Keuning” is an Antwerp-Dutch expression, meaning that you are working for free. And, as she is (was?) very pro-Blgium, it seemed fit to use our Belgian national colors to illustrate that.

The dowels in the picture above are to store the yarn bobbins.

Antwerp, (or “Antwerpen” in Dutch) was for the occasion slightly modified into “Antwerken” ( Handy Work)

Each of the trays of the sewing kit can be combined with the others, according to the needs.

King Albert can be proud of her. We miss him.
