It is quite interesting to show things by what they are not. That sounds almost like Zen-philosophy, but you could easily apply that to French politics.
In this case, I applied this principle by cutting out the map of France from the side of a box.
The idea came from a book “Package Design in Japan” by Taschen. It is now used as a container for storing olive oil labels, also my own design.
